Domenic Lo Surdo
Group Executive Chairman
Co-Founder and Group Executive Chairman of Stamford Capital, Domenic brings over 30 years’ experience in property investment and development, with deep knowledge of property finance, from debt through to equity.
Commencing his career in institutional banking with the ANZ Banking Group, Domenic moved to Gresham Partners to work in Property Funds Management, and developed deep funds management expertise in a range of positions.
At Stamford Capital, Domenic provides guidance and input across all aspects of the business and manages key client and lender relationships.
Michael Hynes
Group Executive Director
Michael brings over 25 years’ experience in property finance, investment, development and syndication.
He started his career at Savills Commercial Property Agency and then moved into property finance, initially in finance origination and then later heading up principal investments.
Co-Founder and Executive Director, Michael focuses on origination for Stamford Capital Investments and provides guidance and leadership across both divisions.
Peter O'Connor
Managing Director
As Stamford Capital’s Managing Director, Peter oversees the day-to-day operation of both divisions managing everything from the vision, innovation, culture and strategic direction as well as key stakeholder and investor relations.
Peter has previously worked at Chartered Accounting firms including KPMG, and was working with Stamford Capital as an external accountant before his decision to move in-house.
With over 12 years’ experience in corporate chartered accounting, Peter brings a wealth of financial expertise to Stamford Capital.
Matthew Goodrick
Chief Financial Officer
With 12 years’ experience in corporate accounting and finance both in Australia and Europe, Matthew brings invaluable skills across finance, corporate development, and strategy.
Prior to joining Stamford Capital as our Chief Financial Officer, Matthew spent eight years in Sweden working for the likes of EY, Maersk Line and Swegon Group.
In his role as CFO, he oversees Stamford Capital’s financial operations, strategic financial planning and compliances.
Marcus Elsum OAM
Independent Investment Committee Member
Marcus has in excess of 25 years’ experience in managing and driving the development of small, medium and large businesses both in Australia and internationally. His experience includes senior roles in funds management, commercial finance and broking, investment banking, capital markets and chartered accounting. He is an investor and provides strategic guidance to businesses in the finance and fintech sectors.
Marcus held a senior executive role at Challenger Limited and was previously Chief Operating Officer at Ashe Morgan and Head of Structured Finance at UBS.
At Stamford Capital, Marcus sits on various committees and provides input to selected strategic projects.
Ryan Stafford
Head of Distribution
As Head of Distribution, Ryan is responsible for leading capital raising initiatives across Stamford Capital Investments’ funds and managed vehicles. He works closely with capital partners to ensure disciplined communication, transparency, and accountability throughout the investment lifecycle.
Ryan brings over 15 years’ experience in account growth, executive negotiation and commercial strategy. He is recognised for his ability to build trusted capital relationships through consistency, market awareness and a strong understanding of investor priorities.
Ryan has a double-major Bachelor of Business in Marketing and Advertising from Queensland University of Technology.
Andrea Riddell
Head of Communications
Andrea has over 17 years’ experience working across communications, marketing and fundraising for a range of small businesses and non-profit organisations.
She is a passionate wordsmith with experience in digital marketing and brand, website design and development, and content creation.
As Head of Communications, Andrea oversees internal and external communications, digital strategy, and special projects.
Yulander Tan
Group Financial Controller
As Financial Controller, Yulander is responsible for managing the accounting and tax requirements of Stamford Capital Investments, its funds and associated project entities. She brings over ten years of experience in public accounting, with strong technical knowledge, critical thinking skills and a keen eye for detail.
Before stepping into her current role, Yulander worked in accounting and advisory with leading firms, supporting a broad range of clients including those in the property sector. During this time, she also acted as Stamford's external accountant. She is a Chartered Accountant with Chartered Accountants Australia and is recognised for her collaborative approach and ability to solve complex problems with precision.
Victor Huang
Investment Director
As an Investment Director, Victor supports the Stamford Capital Investment Management team to structure and execute new opportunities, and is responsible for credit analysis, due diligence, and financial modelling.
Prior to becoming Investment Director, Victor was working as an Analyst supporting the sales team. Victor also holds a bachelor of Actuarial Studies (Finance) from the University of New South Wales.
Raymond Yuan
Director – Fund & Asset Management
Raymond oversees portfolio and asset performance across Stamford Capital Investments’ funds and managed vehicles, as well as leading investor and key stakeholder reporting.
Raymond previously worked at a leading accounting and advisory firm and started out at Stamford Capital in our commercial real estate origination division, where he assisted the team in settling over $400 million of investment and development transactions.
Raymond holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of New South Wales.
Stanley Dong
Investment Manager
Stanley brings a strong foundation in financial analysis and market insights to Stamford Capital. With experience spanning both a non-bank lender and one of the big four banks, Stanley has developed expertise in credit analysis and financial modelling.
In his role as an Investment Manager, Stanley structures and assists the team in executing opportunities and is responsible for credit analysis, due diligence, and financial modelling.
Yash Ratanjee
Investment Manager
Yash brings analytical expertise and a strong background in financial markets and transactions to his role as Investment Analyst. His experience includes mergers and acquisitions at a Big Four firm and strategic advisory at a growth consultancy firm.
Yash specialises in credit analysis, due diligence, and tailored investment solutions, leveraging advanced modelling skills to deliver high-quality outcomes across diverse real estate projects.
He holds a Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics (Honours) from the University of Queensland and is passionate about combining his technical expertise and work ethic to drive superior results.
Devina Nathania
Investment Accountant
Curious and always keen to grow personally and professionally, Devina’s proactive attitude is a real asset to the team.
She’s a dependable team player and creative problem solver, with keen analytical and organisational skills. Devina always strives to be at her best and she’s a quick learner.
As Investment accountant, she helps get our people and suppliers paid on time, keeps our accounts moving and provides critical support to the finance team.
