CPF2 invested across ordinary equity, preferred equity and subordinated debt transactions, navigating challenging conditions triggered by the COVID-19-induced recession and the subsequent interest rate hiking cycle that unfolded during CPF2’s investment and realisation period. This included shortening the fund’s investment period and repositioning CPF2’s investment portfolio for a heavier weighting towards subordinate debt transactions to benefit from increasing interest rates.
Despite these headwinds, CPF2 has continued to deliver meaningful returns to investors with nil capital loss and remains in its final stages of realisation.
